Simon has been coaching me for 18 months. When he started I was a struggling novice 10k runner and beginner triathlete. His personalized training plans have produced PBs in every event, and I now have the confidence and fitness to enter half marathons and longer triathlons. Simon is highly professional, patient, positive and supportive. He always makes time to talk through my training plan, my goals and targets and any concerns or questions I might have. I’d thoroughly recommend Simon as a coach, no matter your ability or experience.

My main sport is rowing but I generally like to just keep active and healthy. Simon has helped me on numerous occasions when I have needed guidance or reassurance in relation to nutrition or training in general. Simon looked at what i wanted to achieve and where I was and then tailored a programme that fitted in with my lifestyle. Simon has always been very helpful and more importantly realistic in the advice and guidance I have been given. Brilliant advice and very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended.

Great coaching from Simon. Ensures that I kept on track and wasn’t afraid to pull me up when going off piste!!! Continually keeps an eye on things through Training Peaks and offers support and compliments as needed. Very knowledge in all aspects of coaching and sports physiology

Always professional with coaching and advice around triathlon performance. Highly recommended, some people tell you what you want to hear when it would be detrimental, Simon tells it as it is and therefore gets the results with his coaching.

Having known Simon since he was a squigglet and done triathlons for the past 25 years, it was really refreshing having a great coach talking you through what training to do for a specific race. You put your trust in someone else and then you do the work and end up with an amazing result. Makes things a 100 times easier with not only having a training plan but also someone to talk to and motivate you and explain what you are doing and why.

I have been training with Paradise Tri and Simon Brierley since June 2016 and still do . I am a family man and a father of two baby kids and also i am running my buisiness (restaurant/bar). Since i joined Paradise Tri i have achieved all my targets i have put and every year i raise the bar even higher. Back in June 2016 when i met Simon in Cyprus i was just getting into triathlon doing sprints and olympic distance races .I told him that i wanted to take part at K1 middle distance race here in Cyprus and that i wanted a professional and experienced coach to achieve my goal. We sat down and talked about my weekly schedule at work and about my family status as these two come first for me and decided how we proceed with training . Since June 2016 with Simon i have finished all my races (2x 70.3 Ironman , 1x Athens Marathon , 1 x 1/2 Marathon several local running 10km races and several olympic and sprint triathlon races ) i have entered within my timing targets . Simon kept me injury free since i joined him and also kept me fresh and motivated on my race days. Also i keep the right balance in my life with work , family and training . Looking forward for another busy year of training with Simon as my biggest goal is to finish an 140.6 Ironman. We have planed already the year ahead and set the targets. I couldn’t ask for more as with Simon i have achieved all these that looked impossible 18 months ago. Thank you Simon and Paradise Tri for all !!!

Just a few short weeks ago, I was unsure if my unstructured running ways could ever be changed. I didn’t think I could ever get any faster, stronger, better, however, I have. With the training programming geniously designed by Simon, I have been able to pace more consistently & push through harder terrain. As a result, my breathing has improved and I have been able to shave significant time off my previous finish times. No matter the day or difficulty of a session, Simon provides on-time feedback, encouragement & always with positive support. From all the way in New York City – there is nowhere else I care to go than to Paradisetri & Simon’s team for any running needs & support. They are the only A-Team needed.

If you are reading this then it’s likely you are considering taking on a coach. My advice after the last 18 months of having Simon’s coaching is simply ‘Do It’!
In 2015 I entered my first Ironman and approached Simon to help me with a training plan. Being a 44 year old recreational triathlete, business owner and mum of 2 teen boys, Simon produced a plan around my lifestyle which aimed to get me to the Ironman start line strong, with a goal of simply finishing. With Simon’s training plan and support, I achieved this dream and jumped straight back into the Ironman queue with a thirst for improvement.
Simon was attentive to my goals and concerns and placed me on a more challenging programme aimed at competing rather than simply completing. The PBs soon followed in all distances, 5km, half marathon, marathon, standard distance tri, middle distance and ultimately Ironman where I won my age group, qualifying for the IM World Champs in Hawaii 2016. It doesn’t get much better than that for an ageing age grouper.
There is no doubt that Simon’s varied and adaptable training programme, personable mentoring and immense knowledge of triathlon and performance, has been hugely instrumental in helping me achieve so many personal goals and I am incredibly grateful for his help! I would highly recommend Simon, who is an accomplished athlete himself, to anyone wanting a coach who is passionate about triathlon, listens and adapts, has a great sense of humour and is focussed on getting the absolute best out of you.
Some achievements whilst being coached by SB (not intended to be seen as showboating but rather as a reflection of Simon’s coaching) :

Following Alli Carter post a few weeks back about Simon Brierley I never thought in a million years I would hit sub 1:30 for 400m let alone a 1km TT, I’ve knocked 45 seconds off my 10k pb in the space of a few months and I’m at the stage where I’m averaging faster than my 10 mile TT pb in races on the bike! On the podium of at least 3 races too! His coaching and guidance has opened my eyes to the different aspects of Tri, creating goals and smashing them. Don’t spend your money on flash gear and get yourself a coach because it’s a game changer. After 2 years of being self-coached and “just getting round” multi-sport events I wanted to be more competitive and began being coached by Paradise Tri in 2013.
Wouldn’t be hitting all these kind of times if it wasn’t for the guidance and coaching of Simon Brierley. Taken me a long way in the space of three months.

I used Paradise Triathlon Training in the run up to doing my first Ironman event. I found the training plan to be thorough, customised and varied across all three disciplines. Simon’s SMART approach to training really works well making it possible to see clear improvements throughout the season. If you have a goal in mind, Simon will enable you to deliver on your targets. And, well, the photo says how well my plan worked for me. 5 stars.

Had a great 1500m Time Trial swim today and wanted to give Simon Brierley Paradise Triathlon Training some publicity. He’s helped me achieve bigger things than I thought I could do given that I’m just an old fart! Worth getting a coach Tri friends. Simon is now in Cyprus running training camps – looks stunning!

I had an initial consultation to set out my goals for the year and to establish a training programme. The training programme whilst structured, has flexibility so I can move sessions around to fit in with my hectic lifestyle. That summer, I knocked 50 mins off Norfolk Superhero quadrathlon race, to win the mixed pairs and fastest bike split. A middle distance triathlon race a month later saw me cross the line 30 mins quicker than the previous year. Clearly being bitten by the triathlon bug there was one distance still to conquer ….. Ironman, an event not to be underestimated. My training programme was endurance focused and gave me great confidence that whilst being a bit nervous on the start line, I knew I could do it. The result was success at Ironman Austria 2014. I look forward to doing more middle and long distance events and being coached by Paradise Tri as Simon’s guidance has made great improvements to my race performance.

I’ve been pleased with the coaching plan on the whole. I like how I don’t really have to think what type if sessions I should be doing. It’s also got me out the door when I would have stayed in sometimes. It’s also made me stay out on the bike a bit longer when I usually would have stayed in. I like simple programmes which are easy to follow like yours.
As for my next goal, I’m already signed up for IM Lanza next year. I’m hoping for around 12 hours. I will also probably be doing a middle or full distance in the UK around July time.
I would definitely be interested in some sort of training programme in the lead up to these events.

In just three months under his guidance I’ve shaved several minutes off my 10k time, two and a half minutes per mile from my marathon pace – I’m achieving Personal Bests right, left and centre. I’m running faster than ever before; finishing in times I thought were out of my reach; and it’s all down to his planning, training and advice.
His training plans are flexible and easy to follow, and he is always quick to respond if I have a question. My confidence for my first Ironman later in the year is increasing, and it feels so good to have measurable progress in each of the three disciplines. Well worth the money.
